Short reads on being found and being remembered.
Plain notes from the studio on AI search, websites and campaigns.
AI search
What AI search is, and why a local business should care
People used to type “plumber near me” into Google and scroll a list of links. Now many ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI the same question and get a short answer with a few names in it.
If your business is one of those names, you get the call. If it isn’t, you never find out the question was asked.
These tools build the answer from what they can read: your website, your Google Business Profile, reviews and directory listings. When that information is thin, out of date or inconsistent, they have little to work with and tend to recommend someone else.
Getting this right is called GEO, short for generative engine optimization. It starts with seeing what the tools say about you today, which is what our free audit does.
Websites
Six things on your website that AI tools read first
Before you change anything big, check that your site clearly says the basics. If a person has to hunt for them, an AI tool will too.
- Who you are. Your business name, spelled the same way everywhere.
- What you do. Your services in plain words, one clear line each.
- Where you work. Your address and the areas you serve.
- How to reach you. Hours, phone and email, easy to find.
- Proof. Reviews, past work and names people recognize.
- Answers. A short list of the questions customers actually ask.
Then check that the same facts match on your Google Business Profile. Mismatches are one of the most common things we find.

One idea, used everywhere: how a campaign holds together
A campaign works when someone who sees the commercial, then a post, then your website feels like they met the same business three times.
That starts with one idea, settled before anything is made. The idea shapes the script, the look, the captions and the words on the landing page. Plan the formats up front, so a 30-second spot, a vertical clip and a banner are built from the same thinking instead of resized afterward.
It works the same whether the campaign runs across town or in another city. What changes is where it shows up, not what it says.
